Unfortunately, rainy weather affected both the procession and the Coronation in 2016, but the people of Coalburn persisted and these photographs by Geoff Brown show the amazing result. Gala Queen Ellie and her court presided over a very succesful Gala in very pleasant warm weather. These photographs of the Gala were taken by Geoff Brown of Coalburn.

Good weather helped make the 2019 Coalburn Gala on 6th July a great success. Congratulations to the organising committee, Gala Queen Brooke and her Court, and all the participants in the Procession. These quality photographs were taken by Geoff Brown and are divided into four categories:- Fancy Dress, Procession, Crowning Ceremony and Decorated Houses.

There was no Gala in 2020 because of the restrictions imposed for the Coronavirus Epidemic. Restrictions continued into 2021 but were reduced in August, so the Gala took place on 11th September with some modifications to reduce possible transfer of virus.

The organising committee are to be congratulated on pulling off a succcesful Gala despite the many obstacles.The weather was dull, dry and cool.

The first full gala after the restrictions because of the Covid epidemic. The weather on Gala Day, 2nd July, was reasonable except for a light rain shower when the procession was in Coalburn Road.
